Tricycle Challenge

What: We loved seeing what you accomplished last year! This year, we’re giving you even more freedom to be creative and push yourself to your own limits! Customize your challenge and explore BTA, PRKR and FA NEMBA by making your way to the tricycle at each network. Hike, bike, run or crawl! New twist this year - each month the tricycles will move to a new location at each network.

Where: Participants will be emailed new locations each month and they will be posted on the website and social media, along with suggested routes.

  • You will notice each network's location and route will be labeled green, blue or black from month to month. It's not to say that a route is easy if it's green but it will be the easier of the three.

    August's Tricycles
    Green: Franconia Area NEMBA
Tricycle Location: Intersection of Ronnie's Ramble and Meadow Brook
    Starting Location: Hillwinds
Suggested Route: Enter the network by the "To the Gale River Trail" sign and take a left shortly after at the intersection. Take Gale River Trail to Boundary, Tucker's, Pebble Beach 2.0, Meadow Brook to Ronnie's Ramble and return back the same way.

    Blue: PRKR MTN Trails
Tricycle Location: Top of Upper Nuke
    Starting Location: School Street Parking
Suggested Route: Take Reservoir Rd. to Orange Trail, Homegrown, Winds & Pines, Tin Can Alley to Upper Moss. The Tricycle will be at the entrance to Upper Nuke. Take Upper Nuke to Nuke, down a short part of Winds & Pines to Fly Bye, Elm Street to Charmel onto a short part of Homegrown and down Rock n' Roll.

    Black: Bethlehem Trails Association
    Tricycle Location: Truckin'
Starting Location: Park at the ball field at the end of Elm or by the basketball court.
Suggested Route: Take Route 302 east out of town and connect with *the brand new trail* Truckin', behind the stone church. Keep climbing until you find it, then enjoy the ride down Shoulder Roll.

When: June 1st - August 31st

How: Create your own challenge(s). Here are a few ideas to get you started…

  • Grid - Visit the tricycle at each of the 3 networks for all 3 months

  • Unsupported - All 3 networks in one outing using the same method of transportation from (and on) one network to another. Ex. If you are biking, bike to all 3 tricycles and between all 3 networks

  • Unsupported Grid - you get the idea.

  • Dual Sport - hike/run and bike all 3 networks. Make it a platinum, gold, silver or your own

  • Platinum - All 3 networks in a day

  • Triple Platinum - All 3 networks in a day in all 3 months

  • Gold - All 3 networks in a week

  • Silver - All 3 networks in a month

  • Bronze - All 3 networks throughout the 3 months

  • Custom - Create your own challenge. We can’t wait to see what you come up with!
